Gift The Change
Responsibilities while developing a
Non-Profit Organization campaign.
I had the opportunity to work with Alzheimer's Arkansas , a non-profit organization that seeks donations and volunteers to aid their support groups around the state of Arkansas. The campaign I developed for Alzheimer's Arkansas was called "Gift The Change", a holiday campaign that ran for 2 weeks encouraging donors to give their monetary efforts towards benefits like respite care, groceries, home modifications, family assistance grants, and more for caregivers.
The campaign was intentionally started during the holiday season for a trend called Giving Tuesday. Giving Tuesday is the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving that encourages people everywhere to make charitable efforts in the giving season.
In order for Gift The Change to be successful I measured Alzheimer's Arkansas's KPI (Key Performance Indicators), researched their past campaigns, monitored their social media accounts audiences, created a strategic plan for our campaign, made a content calendar, and created the social media posts.
Alzheimer's Arkansas analytics served as a big part of Gift The Change because it helped me figure out what social media accounts would generate the best ROI (return of investment). There were key concepts to develop in this campaign :
-
The campaign donations were to be conducted virtually due to COVID-19
-
Donation efforts are for the caregivers
-
Gift The Change is a holiday season campaign
These concepts were extremely important to clarify and eliminate confusion on the who , what , when ,where , and why questions. Such confusion can lead to a lack of trust between donors and organization.
Gift The Change was my first major collaboration which has given me a lot of experience working with clients, software, and demanding deadlines.
